Dancing with my heart, my words, my song, and my love, before my God…

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who
LOVE YOUR NAME may rejoice in you. Psalms 5:11

Cherry Is My Fragrance

The last time I was in Oklahoma my daughter in law, Jerrie, had purchased some really nourishing lotions that had different sweet aromas from Bath and Body Works.  She was so impressed by the scents and results they gave, she wanted me to have one of her bottles for she had many scents.  She gave me one called Cherry.  Ohhhh, I have loved it!  It’s like silk on the body and the smell fills the room with its almost taste-able aroma.   With the advantage of it being such a nice scent, it is so delightfully engaging that it came from someone special and a gift for no particular reason… just wanted to share the enjoyment of what she found with me.

This morning I was applying my gift from her love, this lotion used on special occasions; for today I’m taking piano lessons to play the keyboard by spontaneous chords rather than notes.  I absolutely love to worship, obviously from my blog, and I have begun to cherish times sitting at my keyboard singing unlearned, spontaneous songs from my heart to the Lord, much the way I write.

I am so excited to learn this new process of praise.

So as I applied this luscious scent to soak into my parched skin, what it was pleading for, something unexpected happened.  Of course the smell of sweet cherry filled the room but with it came His Sweet Holy Spirit that began to Speak to my heart of the Father’s Glee over the praise of His Beloved. I could Feel His Gratitude.... His Gratitude...! What Love the Father has, oh what Love...!

I wept as He Wined and Dined me
with this Gratitude for my heart of praise.

I wept for I can only give back
what He First Gives me…!

God Loves to Give, oh how He Loves to Give for no reason other than to Share His Life with us.  He Created us to need Love so that our lives would find Satisfaction and have Fruits of many Flavors.  He Gives so much, so much more than we can ever understand.

But when we, in return of this Love, lift up our praise of Who He is and thank Him for what He does, it comes to Him and Fills the Throne with the Scent of our heart. It soaks into His Heart like Love’s Passion Produces. We, a scent that our heart expels, applied from His Love onto our parched soul, produces this Substance of Emotions and Dynamic Pure Silk that Creates the return of Union, one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We offer our thanks, as we declare His Love and Beauty, and He Delights in our praise.

It is a Sweet Smelling Savor unto Him.

Each of us make up individual Ingredients, of High Important to the Father, of a Rich Aroma that Saturates the heavens as His Throne becomes the Resting Place of our praise.  Our own praise brings Smiles to His Heart and gives Him Great Pleasure.  What a Constant Pouring back and forth where we can never out give God.

My praise, oh God, one aroma of many, before You; Creating a unique Scent that constantly Changes forever.  Each our own heart (ingredient) to make up the Wondrous Fragrance He Deserves and Receives.

2 Chronicles 2:4 (NIV)
Now I am about to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God and to dedicate it to him for burning fragrant incense before him, for setting out the consecrated bread regularly, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening and on the Sabbaths, at the New Moons and at the appointed festivals of the LORD our God. This is a lasting ordinance for Israel.

Thank you for sharing that with us :)
that really brought tears to my eyes, in a good way.

I love the way you put the aroma together with how our worship is a sweet savor unto Him. Of course I know it was just the Holy Spirit speaking to you and showing you something beautiful. :)
